Sibelius

Finland
Much like Norway, whose music was introduced to the world by Grieg, Finland's popular prose owes its global fame to SibeliusRomance in Dm, Op.24 No.4 - Sibelius. Yet unlike Grieg, Sibelius did not persist in using folk musical elements in his works. And still, he excelled in a musical portrayal of Finland's unique, endless, sad landscapes.
Sibelius created music based on ancient Finnish myths, among which is his symphonic poems "Finlandia"Part of 'Finlandia', tone poem Opus 26 by Sibelius , a musical protest against Russia's attempts to take over Finland, and "Tapiola".
