A particularly active composerMenuet 2 from Suite in Am for Recorder - Telemann in the fields of opera and religious music, among the most industrious in the history of music and a autodidact (self-learned) manSonata in F for flute - Telemann, who had written an opera by the age of 12. Telemann was admired by his contemporaries, and Bach received the position of musical director in "St. Thomas" church only after Telemann refused to take the job.

Telemann composed approximately 600 overtures in the Italian style, 47 concertiTelemann - Allegro from Oboe Concerto in D minor and about 40 operas. He also wrote secular cantatas, the most famous of which today, is "The Schoolmaster" ("Der Schulmeister").
